Hugh White Quarterly Essay looks at Asia without the US

Professor Hugh White AO, defence expert from The Australian National University (ANU) Strategic and Defence Studies Centre, will focus on the rise of China in the latest Quarterly Essay - Without America: Australia in the New Asia – published today.

Following the publication, Professor White will be launching the essay at an event at ANU on Tuesday 5 December, where he will deliver a public lecture.

Professor White’s essay brings into focus Australia’s future in Asia with China's growing assertiveness and a decline in US influence in the region.
