MEDIA PREVIEW: ANU graduating art students’ works on display

Media are invited to a special preview of an exhibition of the art works produced by the 2018 graduating students of Art and Design at the Australian National University (ANU) on Friday morning, 22 November between 10am and 12 noon.

Journalists and crews will be able to view, film, photograph the art works and conduct interviews during the preview.

The final art projects of 110 graduating students of the Class of 2018 will be on show in the main gallery of the School of Art and Design (SOAD) as well as the School’s studios.

Head of SOAD, Professor Denise Ferris says the graduating exhibition is the culmination of many years’ work of the students and a highlight on Canberra’s cultural calendar.

The exhibition features art works from each of SOAD’s disciplines including ceramics, furniture, glass, gold and silver smithing, painting, photography, print media and drawing, sculpture and textiles.

Opening night of the exhibition is 6-8pm, Friday 23 November and the exhibition runs from Saturday 24 November to Sunday 2 December from 10.30am to 5.00 pm daily.
