Next generation of Australian leaders come together

Tuesday, June 20, 2017 — The next generation of young Australian leaders are set to come together at The Australian National University for the three-day Future Shapers forum from Tuesday 20 June.

The Future Shapers forum is hosted by the University’s Sir Roland Wilson Foundation and follows on from the influential 2017 Crawford Australian Leadership Forum.

The event will be highlighted by a lunchtime discussion panel on Wednesday featuring Clare O’Neil MP on how young Australians can restore social cohesion in the ‘post-truth’ era.

On Thursday at 9:30am a panel discussion on the future of Social Media featuring Clair Deevy, Head of Economic Growth Initiatives for Asia Pacific at Facebook, will be live streamed through the Sir Roland Wilson Foundation Facebook page.

Other prominent speakers include:

  • Professor Gareth Evans, ANU Chancellor
  • Genevieve Bell, world leading technologist and Professor at the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science
